Blends Alcohol Marker From Stampin Up are HERE

We are so excited to Announce the 

New Stampin Up Blends 

will go on SALE November 1st. 

Here is a sneak peak of what they look like and some general information. 

 This is all the 12 exclusive Stampin Up colors available. Most colors come in both light and dark shades, except Ivory and Bronze. Ivory and Bronze are skin tone colors. Now just in case you are not able to tell, I have my Blends in a Paper Pumpkin books with the front cut lower so I can see all the colors. 

Stampin Up is also offering a Project Kit to use with your Blends while you are learning how to use them. This kit is a great way to learn how to blend and see how different in dark and light colors. 

This kits offers you 16 cards, four of each. It also come with the envelopes, a stamp set, ink and embellishments.

Now, you know I like to change kits to better suit my style. I want to use most of the colors. After all, I wanted to see the color differences too.

A little information about the markers. 

• They should be stored laying flat, horizontal. 

• Caps should be tight. You will here a click when the cap is on correctly. 
• There is a brush tip on one end, and a fine tip on the other.
• The brush tip end can be located on the end with the thicker line.
• The fine tip end has a thinner line. See below.

• Each color comes in a dark and light color. For example: The Pumpkin Pie markers shown above are both the same color only one is dark and the other light. 

• The Ivory and Bronze only come in a single shade. Also the Color Lifter does not come in a color at all. It is also sold separate.  

• You will be Happy to know that they can also be purchased as a set, which includes all the colors, Ivory, Bronze and the Color Lifter.

Scrap Your Heart Out Retreat Aug 2017

WOW!

 Allow me to bring you up to date on some really great time. 

Scrap Your Heart Out Retreat Aug 2017 was another GREAT RETREAT! We started with some wonderful gifts given out at registration. Crafters never knew when there were hidden gifts inside goodie bags, cards or even special packaged treats. Everyone received a name tag to wear plus one for their area. 

Each area name tag had a scissor tag attached.

The scissor name tags were done with Shrinky Dink. Each one had Scrap Your Heart Out 2017 and their name on them. Our very own Darlene shows how awesome they look on your scissors. Not to mention, a great way to keep up with them in a room full of scissors. 

 We played games, gave away gifts and had our very own scrapbook page contest.  

Vera Bradley from SouthPoint Mall in Durham gave everyone a great sample packages. Great samples and even a fantastic retractable tape measure. 

 Everyone was a winner. Each person got their choice of gifts. Some for scrapbookers and others for card makers. 

 Cindy and Michelle started each morning off with Prize Patrol....

Looks like Tracy is having some trouble deciding.

But I have got to say, we all loved the games. I will never look at plastic wrap the same again. You think it is hard getting it to tear off the roll. Try unwrapping it with kitchen mittens on....... 

 This was the calm group....... then came the second group. Oh, and watch who you sit next too..... some ladies got really wild.

 This was certainly not the night to go to bed early. Missing all this fun and laughing until it hurt. 

Scrap Your Heart Out was a TON of FUN for everyone attending.

Beautiful You

I just adore the name of this stamp set. And it is no surprise that the "Beautiful You" stamp set from Stampin Up will be my first post of 2017.

Let's take a look at how awesome the set is:

 These 3 cards are made by using a masking technique. I also embossed the Mediterranean Moment stamp in silver to add interest to our beautiful ladies. Then each one was colored with our new watercolor pencils. Which I also love. 

 Again I used a masking technique with Lovely as a Tree. An old time favorite. After stamping our dancing lady, I simply used the watercolor pencils coloring only her hat and dress. Oh, and what a great sediment.

This time, I stamped each lady on whisper white paper, then stamped them again on 3 of our new DSP paper. After cutting them out, they were placed on our DSP that looks like lace. Adding a little texture by using Falling in Love Embellishment and our lace ribbon. 

Just adore these cards and look forward to using this stamp set often.
