Snow Days are only Good for one Thing....
Playing in your craft room....

Well, NC is under a severe ice and snow storm warning. Office is closed; time to go crafting.

I thought I would work on a few UFO projects. (Un-Finished Objects).  So, I started with a project for my office. As a girl that loves Disney, does it surprise you I worked on Donald Duck? I like using my Cricut, and learn it cuts so much better when I use good quality paper. Thank you StampinUp. This was the easiest project I have ever cut on my Cricut.

My next UFO is a project for our bedroom. I wanted to add a new project over our bed. My husband painted the wall behind the bed cajun craze. Now it is my turn to add something new.
Notice again, I used my Stampin Up products. This paper is from the Botanic Garden. The total framed picture is 20x24, so I used several sheets from the package. Pool Party made a great back ground. "Dream Together" is acrylic. Notice the die cuts from the Botanic Garden are also used in the center behind the flower. Of course, the heart dolly was inked with cajun craze. Stampin Up is so much more than just stamps.

Happy Crafting,
Elaine

"In the Meadows" Making it your own

I love the stamp set "In the Meadow". It's great for scrapbook pages that have any nature context. Weather it is your camping trip, nature walk, trip to the mountains, or just deer in your back yard; this stamp set has a place on your pages.

It is also great for card making. I made these two cards for several different occasions.

Also notice, I added a deer to the second card, using a masking technique. The first card was designed for a mother who wanted to give a card to her adopted  daughter on her 18 years of being a part of their family. While the second card was used for an announcement to a family that was growing by "one deer".

Masking can add or remove any part of a stamp. Making them special for your family, friends or customers. It is also great for creating reflections, but that's another blog.

Thanks for stopping by....... see you next week.

Sharing and Caring....

Thought I would share with you some of the cards, products and creation displayed at the Open House. We had a wonderful group of ladies join us.
So now we are sharing with another wonderful group of ladies.

In the Meadow  Item #140754  $20.00

With just a little a little masking, and I have added a deer to second set of pictures.

So let talk about what kind of cards
these cards can be used for. Any male cards comes to mind right away. But look closely; in the card above the sentiment leads you to other choices. Mother's Day, Valentines Day, Birthdays or anniversary, just to name a few.

Another stamp that allow for simple but effective changes. Looks great with simple easy changes.

 This bundle is unique. The stamp set has some really great saying that you can make your own. Example is: It's time to Celebrate with cake". Using a cover technique you can create a stamp that just says, "Let's Celebrate"  This technique is easy;
  • Start by having a strip of paper to cover the part of the stamp you to not want in your project.
  • Place it on your page in the area you do not want stamped. I like to use the 2 way glue because it is temporary.
  • Ink your stamp, and stamp. Make sure to stamp the covered part on your paper you will be removing.
  • Remove your cover sheet and you are done.

Notice how our tags do not say "with cake."
