Scrapbooking is the best way to preserve all your memories for generation to come.

But finding scrapbook classes are almost impossible. So we buy too much "stuff". Impulse shop for what we think we are going to need; and pretty soon, we are hoarder. Without every learning anything about how to scrapbook.

Well, I have been asked a hundred times to do a scrapbook. My thoughts are give a man a fish.... you feed him for the day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for life. So I would rather teach you to scrapbook, so you can create your own memories.

Picture Perfect Birthday Stampin Up

Welcome to the  Colour Combo Blog Hop. The challenge is to use Sweet Sugarplum, Pacific Point and Dapper Denim.

I love color but this one was a little tough for me. However, I found it to be quite the card once I was done.
I have found that the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set can work with some many colors.  Just about any color combo can work together to make any stamp set pop.

The base of the card is Dapper Denim, with Old Olive as the first layer. The Whisper White card is stamped with Pacific Point, Sweet Sugarplum and Daffodil Delight. I love the way the noise makers are stamped making it easy to use 3 different colors.

Have you seen the Last Chance List? You are going to love all the card stock, inks and stamp sets on this list. Be aware that this list is a While Supplies Last Only.

Enjoy the blog and all the ways these colors are used.

    ▪    With you Versmark streak the total card in one direction. Covering the full foil sheet.
    ▪    Cover the complete copper foil sheet clear embossing powder. Shake off excess. Heat set, Watch for the color change.
    ▪    You are ready to color. Press gently, as you are only applying a thin layer.
    ▪    Now it is time to assemble your card.

(This is an example of information and materials received when you order one of my kits. )

Let's look at a few cards.

Many of you received one of these cards at OnStage Atlanta. This card is made with Wood Texture DSP and the Layered Leaves embossing folder. It  started with Silver Foil DSP and copper embossing powder. Since the card was on basic black, the amount of black smeared with the black ice technique is light.

I hate it when there is a lot of waste to my 6x6 paper. So here is a simple change to use the scrap paper.

Another example of how awesome this technique can be. The dragonfly has been covered with Wink of Stella and a piece of vellum behind his wings colored in Stampin Blends completes this card.
This is one of my favorites. The Heartfelt Bloom was one of our awesome stamps during Sale-a-bration. (Scroll down to see how you can still get one). As you can see, I started with Silver Foil DSP and made sure the black was heavier on both top and bottom. This time I used clear embossing powder and no embossing folder. After I finished the setting the embossing powder; it was colored with the Stampin' Blends.
