Birthday Memories becomes a Mini Album

Happy Birthday!!  The second I saw Birthday Memories  Suites, I knew it would make a great mini album. Allow me to share with you just how perfect Birthday Memories DSP made this mini album.

First, this album is made from scratch using the hidden hinge binding technique. This technique was taught in a recent Scrapbook Club. I will add an additional post with the hidden binding technique later in the week.
The inside covers continues the outside cover march to the birthday celebration. Also notice how the first page opens into an extended page. The single word "Birthday" has been stamped using the Letters for You stamp set.  This is a must have for any scrapbooker. Great for making titles, adding names, even for side notes, as I have done here. I also recommend the Number of Years stamp set, to complaint your numbers. Both stamp sets have framelits, so no fussing cutting letters or numbers. Such a DEAL.
Now every Birthday Party needs a birthday cake! here I have cut out the cake from the DSP, but our bakers has been stamped and colored using our new Watercoloring Pencils. Of course, a little Wink of Stella adds that little bit of shine. All of the great stamps used on this page are part of the Birthday Delivery stamp set.
Once again our DSP and framelits make this page easy. With my Aqua Painter and Pear Pizzazz ink refills I have created the background. The favorite Lovely as a Tree stamp set has made background very similar to the DSP sheets. Our friends on this page have been cut using the framelits and added pop with dimensional. I love leaving a full page for large pictures or for listing all the party gifts.

Adding a few more characters and a banner for journaling. Our FUN page is a fold out; with letters cut out and gold foil placed behind the letters. Another great place to use you letters and framelits.

This is what adds lots of extra pictures to this great album; a waterfall of pictures. It allows you to add 15 pictures on just this one side. Of course some of the pictures can be used for writing down those special memories. Waterfalls are my favorite way to add extras to any album.
Of you can't forget the pockets. All through this album, hidden pockets have been placed. Here is an example of 2. Each of the cards pull up for more pictures, memos, and story telling. Another great way to add extras to your album.
Another great way to add extras to your album with small focused pictures, memories and quick notes. The character on this page has been stamped, die cut and colored. Hard to know he was not another cut out from the DSP.

The album you have been looking at has 24 pages. I have only showed you a few of the pages to give you ideas on making your own Birthday album. Stampin' Up makes this book easy with the Birthday Delivery Bundle.
